About The Artist
Deane Locke was born in Oklahoma. At a young age her family relocated to the Southern California area. Even in elementary school, Deane was working on art projects. The passion for the arts never diminished.
Twenty-five years ago, Deane and her husband, relocated to the high desert area of Yucca Valley, CA. As with many people, work and life left little time for her to pursue her love for painting. Four years ago Deane decided to take art classes and devote much more time to her interest in watercolor and pastel painting. Her primary subject interests seem to lean to flowers, birds and delightful old falling down barns.
